Allan Quatermain, a seasoned adventurer, is hired to find Sir Henry Curtis's missing brother, who disappeared while searching for King Solomon's Mines. Guided by an old map, Quatermain, Sir Henry, Captain Good, and the mysterious Umbopa journey into uncharted African territory, facing a treacherous desert and a perilous mountain range. They reach Kukuanaland, a hidden kingdom ruled by the tyrannical King Twala. Posing as "white men from the stars," they navigate court intrigue and expose Umbopa's true identity as Ignosi, the rightful king. Aided by the Englishmen, Ignosi leads a rebellion, overthrowing Twala and reclaiming his throne. Gagool, Twala's advisor, leads them to the Mines, a cavern filled with unimaginable riches. However, she traps them inside, hoping they'll perish.
